I currently lead the ML and Society team at Hugging Face, where I work on ML systems governance at the intersection of regulatory and technical tools. My work to date has focused on NLP models and data curation, documentation, and governance, most recently as co-organizer and data area chair for the BigScience workshop on large language models.
Some of the projects I've been contributing to have blog posts explaining the work and main ideas, check them out!
After an undergrad at Ecole Polytechnique, and earning a Master in Machine Learning from ENS Cachan, I completed my PhD at New York University in January 2018 under the supervision of Prof. David Sontag, during which I worked on language modeling, graphical models, and medical applications of natural language processing.
Here is my resume.
